Super-food series – Chia seeds

Super-foods are the secret weapon to a healthy body . They address the huge nutritional deficit we have accumulated over decades ,they are foods that are exceptionally rich in nutrient density and offer incredible healing potential .They are  seen as

whole food supplements ,something between a herb and a food.

Super-foods are nutrient powerhouses that pack large doses of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals. Eating them may reduce the risk of chronic disease, and prolong life, and people who eat more of them are healthier and thinner than those who don’t.

CHIA seeds are my favorite super-food .

Dry chia seeds can  be added whole or ground to smoothies and juices, mixed into yogurt or oatmeal, or sprinkled on top of a salad. If you’re adding the seeds to a drink or a “wet” dish like oatmeal, they’ll swell up slightly while you eat, but they’ll retain a slight crunch.
